As we ring in the New Year and a new decade, one thing remains from 2019 - focus on developing strong career and technical education programs that best support student pathways.
Washington State recently approved student pathways as one option for meeting high school graduation requirements. Pathways mean different things for different people, it is important that we keep our focus on developing strong pathway program options for students that are relevant and support their individual dreams and aspirations.
#CTE2020 encourages districts and career and technical education programs to research and determine the best programs that support student pathways to career success. Parents and students must have good information to be able to understand the various pathways available to students and how they connect to individual student's post-graduation options.
